My approach to designing my needlepoints (Part 2)
So, I tend to adopt consciously at least a degree of stylization in my designs,...More......as you can see in this Christmas decoration executed in honor of the birth of the first child of a friend. Now, I think you can see that "a degree of stylization" doesn't have to mean "abstract," for those of you preferring what are called the "figurative" arts. It really just means something important in all the visual arts: being aware of the possibilities and limitations of the medium, and keeping them in mind during the design process.
