Some of the bloggers I follow post interesting links on Sunday, so I thought I'd give it a try, but nothing inspired me much 'til this popped up on Facebook.
An exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on 18th century girls' "homework" embroideries:

Enjoy!
(P.S., "tent stitch" and "continental stitch" are two kinds of needlepoint, so it is relevant to this blog!)
Sharing my love for hand-done needlepoint with you...my works and designs freely shared, for your non-commercial purposes, only, thanks!

Photoless Friday (10): Needlepoint on About.com
Great sources for all sorts of info, of course, About.com has some very informative and interesting pages on needlepoint.
I'll be sharing more links, and I've almost finished that long-promised reading of Owen Jones' book on design principles...we'll be exploring that really soon.
In the meantime, work goes ahead on the gift needlepoint in progress. It felt so good, so relaxing, so fulfilling, after such a long time of not being able to do any(move and flu included since I'd done some).
I'm getting sleeeeeeeeeeeeeepy ... must go ... goooooooooooooooooooooooo
